Ambassador “Sully” Sullenberger has devoted his life to safety, serving as a pilot, safety expert, author, and U.S. Ambassador to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Nominated by President Biden and confirmed by the Senate in 2021, Sullenberger reasserted U.S. leadership at ICAO, addressing critical aviation issues like climate change and geopolitical disputes. After his ambassadorship, he resumed his role as a sought-after keynote speaker and advocate for global aviation safety.
Sullenberger’s career spans decades of service and leadership. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, he served as a fighter pilot and training officer before transitioning to commercial aviation, where he accrued over 20,000 flight hours. He became internationally renowned in 2009 for safely landing US Airways Flight 1549 on the Hudson River after a dual engine failure, a feat celebrated as the “Miracle on the Hudson.”
In addition to his flying achievements, Sullenberger is a #1 New York Times best-selling author of Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters, which inspired the critically acclaimed film Sully starring Tom Hanks. A native of Denison, Texas, he began flying at 16 and holds a bachelor’s degree, two master’s degrees, and honorary doctorates. He continues to champion leadership, crisis management, and the cause of democracy worldwide.

John Walsh is an Emmy®-winning host and victims’ advocate best known for America’s Most Wanted, which helped law enforcement capture over 1,100 fugitives and recover more than 50 missing children during its 24-season run. Walsh’s life mission began in 1981 after the abduction and murder of his six-year-old son Adam. He and his wife, Revé, turned their tragedy into action by founding the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in 1984, which has since helped recover over 277,000 missing children and tackle online child exploitation through its CyberTipline.
Walsh has driven major child protection legislation, including the “Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act” signed into law by President George W. Bush in 2006. Honored by law enforcement and U.S. presidents, he is one of only three people to be named an honorary U.S. Marshal. The Walsh family’s story, dramatized in NBC’s films Adam and Adam: His Song Continues, raised national awareness of child abduction and inspired change.
Walsh continues to fight for victims’ rights through television, writing, and public advocacy. He has authored three best-selling books and remains active with NCMEC alongside his wife, three children, and three grandchildren, working to protect children and support crime victims worldwide.
