Keeping Our Customers In Control

About Flock

My North Star is simple: build best-in-class public safety technology that improves safety while strengthening accountability and transparency. Communities deserve tools that protect people and reflect local laws and values, and that means they need to be in control.

Lately, there have been misleading headlines that Flock shares customer data. This is false. Flock does not share or sell your data, and never will.

Here’s how we keep our customers in control

  1. Customer-owned data: How communities use their data shouldn’t be up to me, or anyone at Flock. Our customers own the data collected on their behalf.
  1. Clear local control: Our position on sharing is black-and-white, no room for interpretation or back doors. Agencies decide how they collaborate with other agencies, and Flock doesn’t make those decisions for them.
  1. Industry-defining safeguards: Guardrails that help everyone use Flock in alignment with legal requirements and community expectations. These include built-in audit reports, search filters, and offense-type selections to prevent misuse. We’ve set the standard for transparency in the industry and will continue to do so.

I’m proud of the impact Flock is making every day, helping cities use their own data to solve more violent crime, recover more vehicles, give more victims justice. And all of this is possible because our system gives communities confidence in how the technology is used. I will always be committed to helping every jurisdiction deploy Flock responsibly and effectively.
