LaGrange police are partnering with Atlanta-based security company Flock Safety for a pilot program to install cameras throughout the city. These cameras are similar in appearance to red light traffic cameras, but run 24-7.

The intent is to help solve and reduce crime throughout the city.

“Because the neighborhood pays for the cameras, they actually own their own footage, so police do not get unlimited rights to that,” said Flock Safety Chief Operating Officer Paige Todd.
