Secure Warehouses with Help From Flock Aerodome
The Flock Aerodome system is effective in enforcing and building perimeter security for warehouses and helping to stop cargo theft, vandalism, and other crimes relating to warehouses.
Organized crime rings are increasingly targeting cargo, which has led to a steady rise in cargo theft activity in recent years. In fact, the estimated average value per theft recently rose to $202,364.
Constant theft can equal hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of lost dollars per year for warehouses.
Flock Aerodome Drone as Automated Security (DAS) was built specifically to protect expansive facilities like warehouses and parking lots with its ability to drastically reduce your response times while increasing your visibility during after-hours and beyond.
Reduce Losses from Cargo Theft & Vandalism

Flock enables warehouses to combat cargo theft by providing live aerial HD, thermal, and night vision feeds from a powerful drone system that streams directly to security teams. Our system helps you verify threats, disregard false alarms, and direct any extra resources wherever they’re needed.
In public safety deployments, Flock Aerodome has also been able to arrive at scenes within jurisdictions in 86 seconds on average. Compared to covering an entire city, your response time will likely be much faster for your facility.
Improve Operational Visibility Without Expanding Headcount
Achieve 24/7 visibility without adding to your payroll. Flock’s fully automated drones launch on demand or when triggered by an alert, capturing footage across your entire property.
Because one remote pilot can manage multiple drones, you can expand your coverage area without scaling headcount. Monitor high-value zones, track incidents as they unfold, and verify alarms remotely, reducing response times and cutting the cost-per-square-foot of effective monitoring.
Enhance Safety While Protecting Critical Infrastructure

Whether it’s monitoring high-value equipment yards, protecting hazardous storage areas, or verifying intrusions before dispatching personnel, the Flock Aerodome system can launch in response to alarms, suspicious activity, or perimeter breaches.
Specific Use Cases
With a better understanding of what the Flock Aerodome system is and what it’s capable of, let’s dive into different scenarios as they relate to securing warehouses:
1. After-Hours Perimeter Patrol
When the last shift clocks out, warehouses often face their highest risk window with long stretches of unmonitored time where thieves can operate undetected.
Flock Aerodome closes that gap with after-hours perimeter patrols that include flying routes around fences, loading bays, and access points.
If an intrusion is detected, your security teams will see it right away with color night vision and thermal cameras.
2. Critical Asset & Parking Lot Monitoring

Flock Aerodome provides constant, automated aerial coverage over warehouse parking lots with pre-set patrol routes that are effective in monitoring high-value company assets like shipping containers, trailers, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles. Large expansive areas, like parking lots, can be difficult to patrol with traditional methods that can overlook certain areas and/ or take too long to respond to incidents.
By equipping your warehouse with the Flock Aerodome system, you're able to solidify 24/7 coverage over your entire parking lot with a mobile eye in the sky that can verify threats while arriving at incidents in seconds.
3. Real-Time Intrusion Response & Verification
Flock Aerodome transforms intrusion alerts into instant action. Fully integrated with Flock’s LPR cameras, fixed video, audio detection, and other security systems, it can automatically deploy within seconds of a trigger.
For example, if an LPR camera detects a vehicle on your hotlist entering the property, the Flock Aerodome software instantly receives the coordinates. With a single tap, the drone launches and arrives on scene.

Flock Aerodome Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some answers to some of the most commonly asked questions regarding the Flock Aerodome system.
What happens when batteries die?
When batteries run low, drones will auto-return to their docking station and can be automatically replaced with another fully charged drone. Two of our contact-charging docks will give you continual aerial flight time, and our battery-swapping dock option keeps the drone flying more without needing to recharge.
What legal regulations/ rules must I keep in mind?
Flight logs and mission reports are auto-generated at the end of every flight to satisfy FAA and internal compliance reporting requirements. Flock Aerodome operates under the FAA’s Part 107 drone rules, and we handle all the heavy lifting regarding waivers and compliance. If your site is located near restricted airspace (such as an airport or heliport), we’ll work on obtaining the necessary airspace authorization as needed.
In short, yes, you’re allowed to use drones to secure your site, and Flock Safety will ensure that every flight is compliant and documented.
Safety & Liability: What is the risk of drone crashing or injuring someone onsite?
The drones fly within a defined geofence over your property and won’t inadvertently approach public roads or crowds. They are equipped with advanced obstacle avoidance sensors, which enable them to detect and autonomously avoid obstacles.
To date, our drones have logged countless flight hours with excellent safety records and no injuries.
