The Proactive Approach

In a commitment to safeguarding its students and staff, the University of Toledo is implementing a proactive approach to safety by installing Flock Safety LPR cameras across its campus.

I think that’s great for the students here at UT. That way, we know we’re safe…It’s very important that we stay safe.
Jason O’Connor | UT Student

A total of 30 strategically placed cameras on campus will detect suspicious vehicles and activities at the perimeter of campus. This will empower campus security to respond swiftly to any potential threats before they enter the building.

“There are cases where the solvability is low. We don’t have anything to really go on if they don’t get solved. So, the data that we can get from the Flock system provides a starting point for a lot of cases that would otherwise go unsolved.”
Jeff Newton, Associate Vice President of Safety | University of Toledo
