The Thriving Cities Fund, a $10 million growth capital initiative powered by Flock and Homegrown, is officially launching in Dallas-Fort Worth. It’s designed specifically for the types of small businesses that make our neighborhoods feel like home—and help them grow without taking on high-risk debt or giving up ownership.

From Fighting Crime to Building Community

Flock Safety is known for helping law enforcement solve and prevent crime, but we’ve always believed that safe communities are about more than just safety—they’re about thriving. That’s where the Thriving Cities Fund comes in.

Through a partnership with Homegrown, a company that specializes in funding for brick-and-mortar businesses, the Fund offers revenue-based growth capital to local businesses that are already making a difference. That means no personal guarantees, no equity taken, and no rigid loan structures. Just flexible, non-dilutive funding that helps entrepreneurs do what they do best.

“When When these businesses succeed, communities thrive, and that’s the future we want to help build,” says Flock Safety Founder and CEO, Garrett Langley.

Expanding Impact in Dallas-Fort Worth

After launching in Atlanta, we set our sights on DFW—a region known for its entrepreneurial spirit and strong small business backbone. With its diverse neighborhoods and bustling commercial corridors, Dallas-Fort Worth is full of the kinds of businesses we want to support: restaurants, fitness studios, barbershops, childcare centers, and other neighborhood anchors that bring people together.

Local leaders are excited, too.

“I am deeply committed to breaking down barriers by championing initiatives like the Thriving Cities Fund and doing everything in my power to help local entrepreneurs succeed. When small businesses thrive, our entire city becomes stronger and more vibrant.” said Michael D. Crain, Fort Worth City Councilmember.

Who Should Apply?

If you’re a business owner in DFW with two or more locations, a strong community presence, and a vision to grow, the Thriving Cities Fund wants to hear from you.
