Flock Safety, the leading safety technology platform dedicated to creating thriving communities, today announced the appointment of Matthew Webster as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Most recently serving as Vice President of Global Marketing for Call of Duty at Activision (Microsoft), Webster brings over two decades of experience building and scaling global marketing strategies for some of the most iconic names in technology, gaming, music, and entertainment.

Over the past six months, Flock has been named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 and Forbes Cloud 100, cementing its position as the category-defining technology company in the safety space. As CMO, Webster will lead Flock Safety’s marketing organization, focusing on strategic brand development and data-driven marketing initiatives to support the company’s rapid expansion into new markets. 

This hire builds on another recent leadership announcement of Dan Haley, formerly of Guild and Sprinklr, as Flock’s Chief Legal Officer.

Driving Growth Through Creativity and Strategy

At Activision, Webster led global brand marketing for Call of Duty through multiple record-breaking launches, including Modern Warfare II (2022) and Black Ops 6 (2024). He held leadership roles at Twitch (Amazon) and Spotify, where he developed innovative campaigns to expand streaming services into emerging regions and strengthen user engagement worldwide. 

Webster also held senior marketing positions at SoundCloud, Ticketmaster, Sony PlayStation, and Fender Guitars - earning multiple top industry accolades including Clios, Effie, and Cannes Lions awards.
