The country’s largest public safety tech platform doubles down on building thriving communities by partnering with the aviation education organization

Flock Safety’s mission is to build safe and thriving communities — not just through technology, but by increasing opportunity for all residents. In June, Flock and its partner, Homegrown, launched the Thriving Cities Fund, a $10 million commitment to invest in brick-and-mortar small businesses creating jobs around the country. The Fund is now operational in Atlanta and Dallas-Fort Worth, with more regions coming soon.

This past week, Flock made an additional investment in community support in Chicago, at the Tuskegee NEXT annual Red Tail Ball. At the event, Flock’s Vice President of Business Development Bob Carter presented Board Chairman Stephen Davis and President Joshua Davis with a $10,000 donation to help support the next generation of young people seeking careers in aerospace.

Reflecting on the experience, Carter shared, “Being surrounded by such inspired, motivated young leaders fills me with optimism for the future. Their passion is a reminder that building thriving communities starts with investing in the next generation.”

Honoring the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen, Tuskegee NEXT seeks to transform the lives of youth through aviation education, career path opportunities, and life skills training, so they can transform themselves and their communities. Today, the organization has trained over 85 cadets, who graduated the program with a private pilot’s license and a drone certification. They have also introduced thousands of students to the aerospace industry through Aviation Days and mentorship programs.

Expanding Pathways to Aviation Careers

Following Flock’s acquisition and integration of Drone as First Responder provider Aerodome, the company has been expanding the aviation team rapidly. Flock Aerodome is now used by law enforcement agencies across the country to provide emergency support, clear calls for service, and save lives. In 2025, Flock opened a 100,000 square foot manufacturing facility to build three U.S.-made, NDAA-compliant public safety drones, which will roll out to early customers this year.

Flock is a natural partner for Tuskegee NEXT, which places cadets in careers with commercial airlines, private aviation companies, and even the U.S. military. Through mentorship and in-person or virtual flight days with Flock’s Aviation team, Tuskegee NEXT’s student participants will gain a glimpse into what a career in drone technology looks like.

Flock looks forward to growing this partnership and continuing to champion opportunities for the next generation of aviation professionals.
