A 2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 was stolen from a gas station. The vehicle's owner couldn’t recall his license plate number or VIN. Using Flock’s database, the plate number was swiftly identified. Flock cameras pinpointed the car near the Buford Drive overpass. The suspect was apprehended by 3 p.m. – a mere hour after the theft. Notably, the suspect had a prior arrest on earlier that year for a related crime.
Community Safety in Action: Missing Elderly Man Returned Safely
Alerted by a neighboring jurisdiction about a missing elderly man, Gwinnett Police used Flock Safety cameras to locate his vehicle.
An officer managed to find and stop the man, who admitted to being lost. His family was informed, and he was safely reunited with them. This incident demonstrates how the technology goes beyond crime-solving, ensuring community safety in its truest sense.
