Capture the Evidence That Matters for Solving Crime

License plates often offer the key pieces of information needed for solving investigations.

To understand this, put yourself in the following scenario: you are on the receiving end of a hit-and-run at a busy intersection. You noticed the car that hit you was a white sedan, but you look around and notice several other vehicles in the area that look very similar. Because of this, you can’t provide the investigators with an actionable lead, and the case goes cold.

However, if there was a Flock Safety camera at that intersection, the outcome likely would have been different.  In that case, you could have provided law enforcement with the approximate time of the incident and the vehicle's description, which would have enabled them to identify the license plate on the offending vehicle, locate it, and close the case.
